I have a bicycle sitting idle in the garage. Bubba goes to school down the street now, so he can walk home.
I'd like to ride my bike to the Hotel, but I'm getting a little skittish after reading stories like this one. It might help keep my weight in check, too, since I've been indulging in one too many goodies at work.
NOTE: I've already gotten in my own bike vs.car crash in college and I lived (I got a really good look at the driver and totalled my bike). Not sure if I feel like doing that one again.

Crossing fingers...
Because I have coworkers from the Hotel in Korea on vacation, and they are coming home this weekend.
I'm hoping, like Sheryl Sandberg, they missed this flight.
More to come...

Sore
Flipping people around in beds and chairs can be exhausting as a rehab nurse. You expect muscle strain from that.
You do not expect, however, people to leave large objects in front of walls near swinging doors, so when you open them and push you push into said object and into the wall.
And crunch yourself into the door, and feel the pain of the combo lock hitting you squarely in the chest. Nothing like a little pectoral crunch at night. Now I have some idea of how people feel breaking their ribs.
Guess I just have to move slower! Stay tuned...

Happiness is...
Only having two patients instead of three (one crashing) and a new admit. Why? Lots less paperwork for one thing! I only had two patients today, Mr. S.and Mr. M. and it was like heaven. No rushing, no fussing, everything got done, charted and I was out on time. Hooray!
Sadly, Mr. H. who I took care of a couple of months ago was back at Washington in the ER. Apparently, he was taking too many drugs over the weekend and developed a subarachnoid hemorrhage. He's now on a vent and not expected to make it.
I'm off tomorrow, so more fun starts later this week on evenings...stay tuned.
