I often wonder

Why patients have some really oddball, preconceived ideas, but now I know where some of them are coming from.

How to poop at work (from Gawker).

Sure, it's not high journalism, but people get a grip! Fluid, fiber and exercise will bring a return on investment, if you get my drift.

That is all.

Enjoy your Monday.

Sure seemed like Monday

Except it was Tuesday. Surprise! Ah, the fun you can have at work when you forget what day it is because you were sick the day before.

At least I didn't need the seasickness pills.

The relative with the oddball unknown disease called today. Turns out it may be an even more oddball family thing. They will find out soon and let me know. (What a plus to being a nurse...knowing about every medically related thing). I get asked about just about everything: bowels, bladder, forgetfulness.

Sometimes I think I'm back at work!

Nevertheless, I am so happy I don't have to tell EVERYONE about this at the Christmas party this year. Hallmark just doesn't make a good card for it.

More later...

Laboring away

I'm not at the Hotel, but at the RehabRN household, Dahey, Bubba and I are doing lots of oddball stuff we've had on hold. Trimming bushes, sorting books, you name it.

Don't fret though, we're taking lots of breaks in between, enjoying the beautiful weather here in RehabLand.

And for all my friends laboring away today with your patients, the Labor Day songs here are for you.

My favorite is below, because it talks about working hard, in crazy circumstances, as many of  you are doing today.

"'Cause it's hard to keep a good man (or woman) down!"
