Crazy Monday

I am more than familiar with the quotes mentioned in this article 30 things we hate to hear at work.

Please note that while I may ask for a second, I don't expect to get more than that. We know you're always way busier than the rest of the department, so, as my favorite old ER nurse says "Spare me".

Don't be spared. Read this and enjoy.

You might even be able to add some of these to your own special nursing unit Buzzword Bingo for some fun on Thanksgiving.

Have a happy Monday wherever you are! More later...

Add a little on top

So, since we've had the eye saga of late, I now get to add a little more fun to the mix: sleep apnea.

Yes, sleep apnea can indeed affect your eyes. Dr. X, our CPAP prophet, would be patting me on the head for getting my doc to get me a home sleep study. Unfortunately, I get to go spend the night with the sleep specialists. The prep sheet doesn't sound too bad, but I am sure I will not sleep well.

And yes, it had to happen. Someone may be infected with ebola here in RehabLand.

Can you tell I'm glad tomorrow is Friday and I'd like to do this (see below)?

Summer officially begins...

Now I know it's really summer, because I finally broke down and got my toes painted an outrageous color.

Pompeii Purple is not really purple, but has an interesting pearly sheen.

That is all.

Back to meeting prep...more to come.

Only 42 days

And I feel like I'm still scrambling, running, trying to get everything done. They're not really as big as these, but still stress-inducing.

I just hope I know everything when I need to know it...or can make them think I do!

Stay tuned...

Attention all student nurses

Looking for stuff to prep for NCLEX that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Check out the Elsevier Student Life site. For fun, I like to help student nurses prep for the test, and this is my absolute favorite book of all time (and I have used several tools).

Try it out and enjoy! If you find something better, post a comment, and share with the rest of the group. ;->

NOTE: they only asked me to do this. I'm not getting any free books, so you'll have to check them out and buy your own.

Good luck!
