Er, kid, I mean.
It is daylight longer so Mr. Bubba thinks it's fine and dandy to stay up goofing off as long as possible, since "my homework is done, and it's not dark yet."
Now, we have to get up for school (I love being the drop off queen for the neighborhood). Agony.
Stay tuned. The drama of statewide standardized testing starts soon!

Sometimes I wonder...
How in the world you go to the mechanic for an oil change and car inspection and come out several Benjamins lighter in the pocketbook. I remember now. I like having breaks with intact lines!
Not nearly as much fun as buying shoes, though.
While we await the fun-filled weekend with Bubba watching the National Spelling Bee, I finally got Dahey to get to the lab to get the orders the doctor sent over a month ago drawn. I called the nurse and once I told him that she said one lab had to be sent out and he'd have to wait two weeks to hear what happened, he decided to go. I got to accompany him.
So much fun. Lots of labs, but luckily only three little tubes. The best part: the look on his face when the phlebotomist told him he'd have to give 13. Priceless!
I don't think he's going to goof off in the lab anymore...stay tuned.

Just lovin' it
Yes, in a mere three days I'll be done with the latest installment of my graduate education. And I have to say, I learned a lot. I learned that some people are just a pain in the arse. Yes, they are.
I thought we only hired non-professionals at the Hotel. No, kids, the non-profs are everywhere. What distinguishes them?
1. When you're supposed to function as a team and communicate with members who can't show up for meetings, you take minutes and post them before the next meeting.
2. You act like an adult.
3. You actually show up, and do some work.
and finally,
4. When you're assigned to be the leader, you lead. You don't goof off hiking in the woods when you're supposed to be responsible for an assignment (I wish that wasn't a real excuse...).
Now, I'm going to finish what I started, just like I said I would. And when I'm done, I'm gonna pray that we get a passing grade out of this one. I don't have a really good feeling.
Should make doing evaluations really interesting.
More on the way!

Snow?
Brr! It's so cold now, does it really have to snow in RehabLand for people to get in the holiday spirit? I'm just crossing my fingers that Dahey and Bubba don't get frostbite goofing off, since they never do that.
The end of semester and holidays are not coming soon enough.
