TGIF everyone! Enjoy every moment of this weekend. The fall leaves are still falling here in RehabLand.

First day of fall
Yes, it will be fall (according to Bubba, this happens this afternoon...) and the folks at Sunday Stealing have the Fall/Autumn Meme today. Here are my answers to some of them below.
Feel free to have fun and play along!
First of all, is autumn your favorite season? Why or why not?
It depends, because I really like spring, too.
Is it ‘autumn’ or ‘fall’, to you?
Fall. Autumn. Whatever floats your boat.
What kind of weather does your area get during this season?
Cool days and nights.
Which leaf color is your favorite?
I have a weakness for red ones (usually from maples), but I like yellow and orange ones, too.
Is it still fun to rake the leaves and jump in piles of them?
YES! It reminds me of childhood and a book I read as a kid about the neighbors having a big bonfire, burning leaves and putting potatoes in the fire to cook.
When can you really tell that it’s autumn?
When the leaves turn.
What is your favorite dessert for this time of year?
Apple crisp or anything with pumpkin.
Is your Thanksgiving Day in October or November, if you even celebrate it?
I celebrate every Thanksgiving whether it's in October or November. I'm usually off around that time in October (no one wants it) so I bake a pie in solidarity with my old friends in Canada, who I miss terribly, but call and think about often. Thank goodness for Facebook!
If you do celebrate it, where do you usually have Thanksgiving dinner?
At my house.
What color do you always associate with autumn?
Orange.
Is there a song that always reminds you of this season?
Autumn Leaves (the version) by Eva Cassidy (or the Cannonball Addersley version is also nice).
Do you spend a lot of time outside during this time of the year?
Depends.
How can you tell that fall is over?
Snow.
What is a typical autumn outfit that you wear?
Sweater and jeans.
Do you hate it when stores start promoting Christmas early?
YES!
What is your favorite thing about this season?
Cool (not cold) weather.

Sunday vegetating
The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.~ Bertrand Russell
Sometimes I just have to remember Bubba is growing up. He makes me laugh so much. He really is becoming a tween before my very eyes.
We plan on having lots of fun jumping in piles of leaves and doing nothing today with Dahey.
I need a little break after a marathon conference call with my classmates yesterday.
Stay tuned...

Chilly!
Fall is here in Rehab Land, even if the leaves aren't turning yet...brrr!
Not surprisingly, the unit is still unseasonably warm in many areas.
Now it's off for another day of adventures with specialists and protecting the patients (and ourselves) from the new resident (Dr. Haroompf) who's still learning how to use our computer system.
Stay tuned!
